We have an exciting vacancy for a Procurement Officer who will support the business in driving excellent supplier and partner performance on behalf of the business and the customer.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for procurement for bright
solid.

You will work closely with the Pre-Sales, Sales and Project Management teams to deliver measurable value through effective procurement without adversely impacting overall delivery timeframes.

You will also build and maintain strong relationships with key supply partners, understanding processes (at our end and at their end), feeding this knowledge back into the business whilst proactively managing suppliers to deliver on time, on budget and to specification.


Role /Responsibilities:


  • Be responsible for the daytoday management of brightsolid procurement with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Manage and continuously review the Purchase Order Systems and processes to ensure they are accurate, up to date and consistently meets the requirements of the business.
  • Report on supplier related performance
  • Spend, leadtimes etc.
  • Continually review the overall "value" offered by existing suppliers and ensure that bright
    solid's procurement remains effective.
  • Manage (working with the group procurement function where appropriate) negotiation and renegotiation of terms of business/service agreements and performance evaluation with suppliers, taking corrective action as required.
  • Work with the Project Management Office to ensure all project related orders are expedited effectively.
  • Resolve any discrepancies between the PO & invoice.
  • Build strong relationships and communicate regularly with all suppliers within the Portfolio.

Essential Skills, Knowledge and Qualifications:


  • Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply ('CIPS') preferred but not essential.
  • A proven track record of procurement/buying and supplier management experience preferably within IT/ telecommunications industry.
  • Highly collaborative and communicative, both in person and online.
  • Aware of the importance of accurate and timely communications to all relevant stakeholders, ensuring the customer is at the heart of what you do.
  • Comfortable with data analytics
  • Microsoft Excel
  • Knowledge of a broad range of commercial issues such as: negotiation, benchmarking, spend and savings analysis, pricing reviews.
  • Experience of working in a service orientated procurement environment.
  • This is a temporary position, working fulltime. Please note, requests to work 4 days a week/part days will also be considered.
