Our Maintenance Services Engineers are responsible for ensuring the cost-effective maintenance of engineering services in our buildings.Areas of responsibility include maintaining all plant equipment and materials involved with heating, lighting, ventilation, air-conditioning, electrical distribution, UPS systems, Generators, water supply, sanitation, public health, fire protection, safetysystems, lifts, escalators and building fabric repairs.

A Multi Skilled Engineer (Mechanically qualified) is required:
- To join an established 'in house' team, working a staggered day rota, 35-hour week Monday to Friday, 7am to 6pm.
- Undertaking all aspects of repairs and maintenance of building services, working on a wide variety of old, modern plant, equipment and systems controlled by a Johnson controls BMS.
- Attend to failures of assets and equipment, investigate, rectify faults, and have an awareness of the impact the breakdown may be having on the business.
- Responsibilities would include reactive and planned maintenance to all Building Services.
- Manage and assist technical specialist support contractors as necessary
- Assist with maintaining the department's statutory, asset records, keeping files, records and drawings up to date.
- Participation in an out of hours call out procedure.
- Interaction with building users of all levels and thirdparty service providers is required.
- To ensure our workplace is safe for all associates and to the required standards
- Maintain the plant, equipment and building fabric
The Requirements:
- Mechanical approved Apprenticeship within large office environment
- Plumbing and pipework skills
- Knowledge of Gas Safety
- Knowledge of L8 and HSG27
- Knowledge of BMS Controls Systems, generator controls and UPS system and DATA centre operation
- Problemsolving ability for building operations
- Communication skills at various levels
- The ability to work as part of a team or individually
- Knowledge of Health + Safety standards and legislation
- Numeracy skills
- Ability to time manage effectively and monitor own work schedule
- Able to follow Technical drawings and O&M's

- Strong communication skills
- Previous large corporate experience and associated values
- Motivated to work as part of a team and as an individual contributor
- Willing to work overtime as required sometimes at short notice
- Problem solving ability and logical approach
- Data Centre/communications room electrical and mechanical operations
- Building Fabric and infrastructure knowledge
- Able to attend site for call outs within 1 hour
