Hours: 37.5 hours per week - flexible working with late clinics and late starts

Leaders in Oncology Care & The Harley Street Clinic are looking to recruit a Clinical Nurse Specialist Urology/Oncology.

About The Role
The Clinical Nurse Specialist Urology/Oncology will be required to work autonomously. The role includes managing a caseload of patients diagnosed with, and having treatment for these specialities. The role will include collaboration and liaison with Consultantmedical staff, ward/departmental staff, MDT coordinators and other CNSs within


The LOC & Harley Street Clinic to provide seamless evidence based holistic pathway of care for all patients referred into the service.

Working in various sites, you will ensure that our patients are fully supported. Likewise, you will also be taken careof.

There will be an opportunity to work towards advanced practice and we are keen to develop our nursing colleagues with education and training.

We also encourage our team to be involved in service developing services too.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide specialist nursing advice and support to patients with urological cancer and facilitate high quality, individualised care to patients/clients and relatives/carers, both inpatients and outpatients, without supervision in collaboration with the multidisciplinaryteam in line with local and national targets.
  • The post holder will provide specialist nursing care and support and deputise for their line manager in the management of their clinical speciality. This will involve dealing with complex situations and having to take appropriate action in a variety ofsettings.
  • Acts as a key worker for a clinical caseload, working to coordinate care and provide easy access for ongoing support for patients.
  • Liaise closely with the MDT coordinator to support the collection of clinically sound, robust cancer data by the MDT as mandated by local and national policy.
  • Expand and develop existing and new networks to ensure the dissemination of best practice across The LOC & Harley Street Clinic, and nationally for patients with oncology needs

Skills & Experience:


  • Significant post registration experience within Oncology and or Urology Speciality
  • Competency of working towards the 4 pillars of advanced practice
  • Multidisciplinary team player
  • Demonstrate experience in managing staff
  • 1st Level Registration Post Graduate Diploma/Degree in Advanced Nursing Practice
  • Evidence of continuing professional development
  • Completion of ILS
  • To have completed or working towards advanced assessment course
  • SACT trained or qualifications in alternative chemotherapy courses
