Stroke Early Supported Discharge Team - Clinical Psychology


Are you looking to develop as an applied Clinical Psychologist working in stroke? We have a new opportunity for a part-time (0.5 wte) Senior Clinical Psychologist to join the highly regarded Stroke Services at Frimley Park Hospital, located in the Surrey-Hampshire-Berkshire borders.

Clinical Psychology is already embedded within inpatient services (HASU/ASU/ Post-Acute Rehab) and we are excited to offer this new post joining our ESD colleagues
- a warm and friendly team known for their innovation and flexible working.

Your work within our ESD team is primarily community-based, providing the varied aspects of psychological care following stroke
- including formulation/ assessment / intervention, as well as consultation and training to the MDT. We are looking for a creative individual to help shape this new service in line with evidence-based best practice, an understanding of local systems, and through involving people who use our services; providing good opportunities for service development and evaluation. Our ESD team have had recent experience working with a psychologist and highly value psychology's role within the MDT.


You will also join our growing Clinical Health Psychology team, a dynamic group of psychologists working in Pain, Cardiac Rehab, Cystic Fibrosis, Neurology, and Staff Wellbeing.

There is a local network of stroke and neuro-psychologists, and we are actively involved in the regional ISDN.
