Job description:


Rosa is a central government IT system that enables collaborative working at SECRET in a secure environment with the latest technologies.

Rosa provides fixed and mobile SECRET collaboration tools and communications in 166 countries across the globe, allowing users to create and share data securely.


Joining our Technology, Engineering and Operations team as a Lead Infrastructure Engineer, your primary role will be lead engineer for messaging.


Responsibilities

  • Engineer solutions centered in the Messaging and mail gateway space.
  • Line manage a small team of similarly skilled Infrastructure engineers.
  • Work with all disciplines and operational product owners to maintain and integrate Messaging and related technologies with RSO platforms to protect and manage mission critical systems.
  • Contribute to delivery and operations across the wider technical engineering stack.
  • Contribute to strategic and tactical engineering road maps in the Messaging and high assurance gateway space, making sure that road maps are future proofed to meet organizational and user needs. Ensure that all security products meet or exceed the RSO internal and regulatory requirements.
  • Produce documentation of processes and procedures for managing the technology stack
  • Follow the Technology Life Cycle in the development of all products, support the delivery and conduct detailed due diligence on the existing platform to understand where improvements can be made.

Person specification:


Essential Skills

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Exchange with previous experience of MS Exchange Upgrades
  • Installing and managing server (full and core) in single and clustered configurations operating systems including Microsoft Windows Server
  • Demonstrable knowledge of Active Directory, including management and maintenance of users and security groups
  • Experience of VMware
  • Experience of using PowerShell

Desirable Skills

  • Previous experience of team leadership.
  • Knowledge of cross domain technologies such as mail gateways.
  • Knowledge of Identity management ADFS
  • Working knowledge of Certificate Lifecycle Management
