Adecco are looking for an experienced Senior Buyer for one of our clients in Paisley

This role will be temporary to permanent starting off as a 6 month temporary contract

This role is Monday to Friday 8am to 4:30pm

  • To promptly action the company purchasing requirement.
  • Support Branch Manager in delivering business KPIs
  • To comply with the company Purchasing Criteria.
  • To negotiate advantageous deals and terms via the cost down route to improve company profitability.
  • Control of WAR products on a weekly basis.
  • Accurate forecasting and control of Inventory and achieving sterling targets and days on hand. Ensure your designated stock levels are maintained
  • Support all colleagues in their role to perform duties.
  • Develop suppliers as a valuable part of the business.
  • Bin outs' must not be tolerated, these must be raised for each bin and suitable corrective action put into place.
  • Identify slow/obsolete items.
  • Identify loss makes/low margins.
  • Ensure forward orders are dealt with promptly.
  • To ensure goods on order with supplier arrive within the agreed timescale.
  • To provide internal customers with an exceptional level of service.
  • Excellent communication skills are required to your internal customers.
  • To action company purchased invoice queries promptly.
  • Supplier returns to be actioned in a timely manner.
  • Procedures to be followed in accordance with the Company Manual.
  • Excellent PC skills are required especially excel.
  • To process WIP documentation promptly.
  • Ensure purchase indicator is produced weekly.
  • Ensuring all Internal Filing is up to date.
  • Housekeeping must be of the highest quality, by participating in the company's 5s program, and a clear working area must be your aim by the close of your shift
  • Team work with other areas of the office and warehouse is crucial to ensure a smooth operation.

  • Manage the materials planning activity for allocated accounts using customer forecasts or historical demand to ensuring we have the correct amount of stock in place in line with customer requirements.
