GEOAmey's communications function is focused on driving our desired culture, supporting our vision and underpinned by our corporate values.

We want to support the improvement of employee engagement through communication and brand advocacy, whilst ensuringevery employee knows and understands what they need to know and feels valued every step of the way.


It will be our Corporate Communications Manager's role to work with our HR Director and Managing Director to set the strategic direction for our corporate communication activity, then to lead the delivery of appropriate, meaningful and effective multi-channelledcommunications across the business.


The role will be incredibly varied, engaging with all departments and levels of hierarchy and covers all executive communication, external communication, event management, development and delivery of our recognition scheme and all operational 'business asusual' communication, whilst maintaining strong links with our HR leads to bolster and support our employee engagement agenda.


Key Tasks will include:


  • Providing counsel to deliver leadership communication, promoting strategic use of communication tactics and advocate best practice approach
  • Working closely with the Business Improvement Manager to ensure alignment, providing counsel and corporate communications support for all change programmes, new initiatives and projects
  • Challenging and guiding stakeholders to use communication in a purposeful and strategic way, translating complex messaging in to a simple and consistent language that managers can translate onwards
  • Promoting and championing consistency across all corporate communications mediums, including the management of our visual identity; ensuring brand guidelines are adhered to and the use of our brand is always appropriate and professional
  • Developing and delivering 'BAU' regular operational and nonoperational communications channels such as the Weekly Officer Update, Security Bulletins and our employee magazine
  • Developing and delivering national internal communications strategy including operational communication, engagement programme, wellbeing and diversity & inclusion programme
  • Developing and delivering effective intranet space, allowing employees to selfserve need to know and nice to have information
  • Owning and managing the relationships with our media handlers to ensure factual and timely information is gathered and accurate and helpful comments are provided to meet journalist deadlines

What we are looking for:


  • Ability to coordinate multiple concurrent activities in a controlled manner
  • A positive outlook and desire for change
  • Experience in creating corporate communication
  • Computer literate including good working knowledge of Word and PowerPoint
  • Influencing, listening and observational skills
  • Ability to communicate succinctly at a senior level
  • Experience in managing intranet content / SharePoint
  • Experience in branding
  • Public Relations experience
