Group Strategic Analytics (Strats) combines expertise in quantitative analytics, modelling, pricing, and risk management with deep understanding of system architecture and programming.

In addition to Front Office pricing and risk management, the team also looks at Non-Financial Risk (NFR) and develop controls to ensure the business is compliant with the regulatory landscape, as well as optimising core business processes.


You will join the Counterparty Risk Strats team within the Strats Group, the team facilitates the management of counterparty risks and financial resources across the Investment Bank.

The team is responsible for building and operating platforms and tools to enable manage, cross-sell, and price costs related to capital consumption, credit risk, and initial margin into trades.

Your key responsibilities

  • Responsible for implementing and managing the analytics framework within Deutsche Bank's strategic platforms for Leverage and Capital Exposure under standardised approach for counterparty credit risk (SA-CCR), European Union counterparty credit risk (EU CRR2) regulation)
  • Responsible for expanding automated predeal pricing capabilities for capitalbased pricing/ funding
  • Partnering with Sales, Trading, Business Risk managers, Credit Risk managers, Legal, and Operations, improving Deutsche Bank's return on risk and resource
  • Designing and reengineering platforms analytics to improve efficiency of risk and resource usage across the Bank
  • Coordinating with Trading, Sales and Operations in times of market or counterparty stress across all business lines

Your skills and experience

  • Good understanding of financial derivatives and financing along with credit risk and capital management
  • Experience of development, and management of margin, risk, capital, and predeal platform/tools
  • Experience with data analysis, programming languages (SQL and Python) and tools such as Git, Jupyter, JIRA
  • Creative problem solver with ability to take ownership and work with tight deadlines
