Your day to day
- This position is fully remote with regular weekly travel around the UK however predominantly within, but not limited to, Central London and the Home Counties territories. _
As the Director of Sales, you will manage a number of designated accounts with the remaining focus on the development of new business corporate relationships to maximise and drive Groups and Meetings revenue and increase market share to the UK&I Managed Estate.
- Negotiate preferred agreements and thirdparty agreements for the UK&I Managed estate.
- Target and develop direct contact relationships and networks within the developed assigned accounts to deliver and grow both agreed sales budgets and pay for performance targets.
- Proactively grow revenue and profit and commission opportunities in the MICE segment.
- Support the Director, UK&I Managed Cluster Sales and individual hotel Sales Teams to assess and develop strategies as necessary to increase conversion and revenue.
- Identifying highspend Tier 2 and 3 unmanaged crossoccasion/industry opportunities and resourcing Groups and Meeting and secondary sellers as appropriate
- Contribute to the individual hotels account plans in the defined portfolio to deliver incremental and quality Groups and Meetings revenue.
- Support strategic and tactical promotions and initiatives to maximise revenue in need periods, working closely with key need and new properties to identify touch points within account portfolio.
- Support and participate in internal and external events to maximise resource and drive broader and deeper relationships.
- Manage, delegate and develop account resources and/or virtual teams to effectively drive sales results.
- Work across a wide variety of cultures and markets, tailoring approach and behaviours to understand key differentiators and leverage best practices accordingly.
- Demonstrate a bestinclass approach with compliance towards processes, tools and sales strategy and ways of working to maximise pay for performance revenue opportunities to the hotels.
- Identify and drive new business revenue opportunities from identified Luxury Corporate Pillars.
What we need from you
Education:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Marketing, Management, Business, Hospitality or an equivalent combination of education and workrelated experience desirable
Critical Expertise & Experience:
- Significant experience in luxury and lifestyle hotel sales within the corporate groups and meetings segment
- Significant experience of negotiating the needs of hotels and the needs of the customer. Includes the ability to define, manage and execute mutually beneficial contracts.
- An advanced ability to make effective commercial decisions based on an understanding and analysis of key commercial information and commercial levers.
- Significant experience in initiating, developing and managing mutually beneficial relationships with customers, hotel owners & onproperty sales teams.
- Significant experience of operating in culturally diverse teams across the relevant markets.
- Significant strategic sales experience in a senior manager role with a track record of identifying and delivering on new commercial opportunities, using key data points and analytics to make effective commercial decisions.
