Forensic Services Assistant

Scientific Support Services

Calder Park, Wakefield

1 x permanent post (37 hours)

Regional Scientific Support Services forms part of West Yorkshire Police, serving the Yorkshire and Humber Police forces. Based at Calder Park, Wakefield, this is a permanent post with flexible working conditions and on-site parking facilities.


The role of Forensic Services Assistant will provide clerical and administrative support to the Forensic Services Unit and main reception cover as required.

The role will involve helping to maintain the integrity of information on computer systems, including inputting and extracting information to support projects, service delivery and responding to enquiries.

We are looking for a team player, with great communication skills, who can provide excellent customer service. We need someone with good literacy and numeracy skills, who can demonstrate keen attention to detail.

Although in-house training and support will be provided, the ability to use a range of computerised systems and packages, including Microsoft Office (Word and Excel), is a requirement.

This is a permanent post, which offers flexible working between 7am and 7pm, Monday to Friday.
