About the Practice/Department/Team


Lakeside Healthcare Stamford is a forward-thinking, progressive organisation offering primary care services to the people of Stamford and surrounding villages.

We are a large practice with a population of over 31,000 patients. We are a great team and welcome the challenges that a busy practice brings.


Job Introduction

What you will do

  • Application and day to day management of all clinical rotas
  • Approval, coordination, administration and reporting of all clinical absences and holiday; holiday meetings highlighting any capacity issues to the operational team, sickness reporting and scheduling return to work interviews
  • Organise overtime and locum cover either via Partner GP's, Salaried GP's or locum agencies
  • Communicate rota schedule to clinical team in a timely fashion
  • Produce student rotas and liaising with educational team for training and study requirements; organise student accommodation.
  • Produce foundation and registrar inductions and rota plans in accordance with their levels, including tutorial planning.
  • Create, distribute, and coordinate the room rota for the Stamford Hub, prioritising our core staff for meetings whilst accommodating the needs of all associated staff
  • Create and communicate induction plans for clinical new starters
  • Be the first point of contact for the team and patients and managing general queries; and escalating more complex queries to the appropriate member of staff in line with agreed SOPs
  • The post holder will be required to work flexibly in response to the needs of the organisation, providing cover for administrative staff to ensure continuity of a quality service provision
  • Attend and contribute to team, patient services and staff meetings as and when required
  • To work in accordance with written Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and all practice procedures.
  • The post holder will be required to assist the patient service team with telephones at busy times. To assist the patient services manager with concerns and complaints.
