Slough Trading Estate

£23.00 p/h

MJM Industrial are seeking a skilled Bricklayer to join our team. As a Bricklayer, you will be responsible for constructing, repairing, and restoring brick structures using various tools and techniques.

The duration is 3-4 weeks, based in Slough.


Duties:


  • Laying 140mm dense blocks.
  • Dealing with Heavy blocks and bricks
  • Lay bricks to construct or repair walls, partitions, arches, and other structures
  • Cut or saw bricks to fit around windows, doors, and other openings
  • Mix mortar and spread it onto bricks with trowels
  • Use levels and plumb bobs to ensure structures are straight and true
  • Repair or replace broken bricks
  • Work with various materials such as concrete blocks, stone, and tiles
  • Follow safety procedures to prevent accidents on the job site

Experience:


  • Time served experience as a Bricklayer
  • Proficient in masonry techniques including bricklaying and blocklaying
  • Familiarity with hand tools such as trowels, hammers, and chisels
  • Ability to operate power tools like saws and grinders
  • Experience working as a carpenter is advantageous

Job Types:
Full-time, Temporary contract

Contract length: 4 weeks


Pay:
£23.00 per hour
