OCU are looking for a Site Supervisor to join our NPG Team.

As a site supervisor you will work closely with Engineers, Highway authorities and developers to plan, organise, and support field resources in the day-to-day framework operations across several programmes/schemes in the North Yorkshire region.

You will need to liaise with various internal and external stakeholders to monitor progress, maximise day to day organisation and competently plan and control all resources, ensuring all administration meets CDM and temporary works requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Engage with the design team for new schemes to ensure principles of prevention are utilised.
Ensure NSP002 quality is maintained across all OCU sites.
Supervise site activities and execution of health and safety and quality audits.
Promote near miss/hazard reporting and ensure issues raised are resolved and lessons learned are shared to embed a positive health and safety culture including zero harm and zero utility strikes.
Lead the engagement with Developers and ensure that their needs are understood and met during the delivery of the operational work.
Understand the impact of third parties and ensure they are met during the delivery of the scheme.
Work to minimise customer contacts by encouraging a right firsttime culture and driving our teams to deliver service excellence to all customers and stakeholders.
Ensure customer standards are met.
Liaise with Engineers and Highway authorities regularly to ensure smooth delivery of the schemes.

Skills and Experience:

Ability to lead on site and drive performance.
Working knowledge of relevant legislation, codes of practice, safety and statutory regulations.
Experience in delivering works in a safe and compliant manner.
Excellent understanding and commitment to deliver customer satisfaction.
Ability to influence and control cost.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Current UK driving license.
NRSWA Supervisor.
