Driver Team Leader

Role Overview:


We are seeking a proactive and experienced Driver Team Leader to ensure the efficient and compliant operation of our transport department drivers.

This role plays a critical role in managing team rota's and fostering positive relationships with drivers and customers.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Plan and manage the depot fleet and team to optimize utilization levels.
  • Support the Fleet Compliance Team Leader to ensure departmental compliance.
  • Create and communicate driver rota's on a daily and weekly basis.
  • Facilitate communication between drivers and customers.
  • Provide expert knowledge and solutions to operational challenges.
  • Foster a positive, safe, and productive working environment.
  • Collaborate with other Transport Team Leaders to identify operational improvements.

Skills Required:


  • Ability to thrive in a fastpaced, pressured environment.
  • Proven people management skills with a focus on developing others.
  • Experience in complianceled roles such as Health & Safety and Transport Legislation.
  • Strong rota planning and resource management skills to meet KPIs and service levels.
  • Effective team player with excellent communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, and WMS systems.
  • CPC qualification required.

Shift Pattern:


  • Week 1: 6am 2pm
  • Week 2: 2pm 10pm
