Description

Providing a professional and efficient resource, working to support functions across the team as well as with autonomous responsibility for specified tasks, the Accounts Assistant provides an administrative support to the finance team and the wider business.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with sales and purchase ledger, providing support as required
  • Pricing and verify orders, working closely with the factory to ensure accuracy and timely processing
  • Respond to customer queries in a timely manner to ensure prompt payment
  • Propose, recommend, and implement process and system improvements.
  • Preparation of statements, client status reports and any other relevant information as required by the finance team or wider business

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Required:

  • Outstanding attention to detail and accuracy
  • Able to prioritise workload and tasks as required for the needs of the business
  • Understanding of key accountancy principles and processes
  • Excellent excel skills
  • Knowledge of accounting software such as SAGE
  • Must have a strong work ethic, hardworking and a can do and proactive attitude
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines, in a busy department
  • Strong interpersonal skills, confident in working with individuals across the team and wider business
