We are holding a recruitment event on the 1st June 2023 for Nursing Assistants for our brand new state of the art facility Aspen Wood that will be opening in September 2023.


Come along to the event and find out more about our new low secure unit and what it is like to work for Mersey Care.

There will be plenty of staff present at the event who will answer any queries you may have about the service.


At the event you will be giving a comprehensive overview of the Trust and what our new service will look like, we will also be conducting interviews for anyone that wants to secure a post on the day.

There will be 2 sessions to attend this event, 1pm and 5:30pm. Upon being shortlisted you will be invited to book onto a session time that suits you.


From the 1stNovember 2021 a Recruitment & Retention premia has been introduced to attract and retain Nursing Assistants within the Secure Care Division and further support our "Grow Our Own Strategy".

For our nursing assistants this will be a premia of £600.


Working as a nursing assistant you will be required to carry out assigned duties involving direct patient care and observation of service users under guidance and supervision of qualified staff.


You will be required to report to the qualified nursing staff any observations made whilst providing care to service users including details of mental state and risk factors.


You will work with service users on an individual and group basis as outlined in their care plan and as directed by the appropriate named lead professional.
