About Our Client:


The client we are exclusively representing has recently moved to the Warrington area and is steadfast in establishing its prominence locally.

After significant structural change, the company are undertaking notable provisions in order to realign its finance department with the core functions of the business.

The client operates within the supplier and product manufacturing market, whilst having strong procurement and client chains. The company are award-winning within their industry and are well-known amongst other food retailers.

Key responsibilities of a senior credit controller include:

  • Evaluate the credit status of clients to identify debtors and credit levels within policy limits.
  • Conduct negotiations with debtors to reduce overdue terms.
  • Opening of new debtor accounts with ongoing updates and maintenance.
  • Maintain regular contact with clients and depots to ensure the management of debtors.
  • Conduct business operations in compliance with standard policies and regulations.
  • Monitor payment history to identify changes and take necessary actions.
  • Conduct daily and weekly reports to depots and log feedback.
  • Oversee the forwarding of statements to depots and keep them updated on debt collection activities.
  • Level of authority to release overdue orders.
  • Dispute management.
  • Helping customers in case of complaints and questions.
  • Managing customer account reconciliations.
  • Creating analytical reports and presenting them to senior managers.
  • Participating in monthly and quarterly audits and cleanups.
  • Detecting and resolving errors in billing operations and other related problems.

The Successful Applicant:


  • Prior industry experienced (but not required).
  • Qualified by experience or qualification.
  • Analytic.
  • Good practically with electronic billing procedures and systems.
  • Knowledgeable with Microsoft Office Excel and Sage.
  • Familiar with databases and SQL.
  • A strong communicator and able team player.
  • Organised.
  • Responsible.
  • Attentive
  • BSc or BA degree in accounting or a similar area (but not required).
