Description

As a Critical Care Healthcare Assistant you will work under direct or indirect supervision of a registered nurse at all times.

The care you give to patients will be compassionate, caring and high quality.

You will recognise your abilities and limitations of your competence and only carry out those tasks for which you are trained.

As a member of the ward team you will support the other staff, act in the best interest of patients and treat everyone with respect.

As a Critical Care Healthcare Assistant you will honour your work commitments, be reliable, trustworthy and uphold the Trust Values and the Skills for Health Code of Conduct for Healthcare Support Workers.

You will work under direct or indirect supervision of a registered nurse at all times. Your duties will include providing assistance to patients with personal care and helping patients with their nutrition.

Furthermore you will be responsible for ensuring the unit is appropriately stocked with consumables and assist the nursing and medical team with ICU specific clinical procedures.

Your role will also require you to undertake mandatory training in resuscitation and manual handling.
