Description
My client is a small, privately-owned, online retailer specialising in high quality formalwear with customers globally.
Based in modern offices close to Manchester City Centre an urgent requirement has arisen for an experienced finance & accounting professional to join the business ASAP on a part-time basis (3-4 days per week, office based)

Supporting the Directors you will be responsible for all bookkeeping and accounting duties as the only finance person in the business.


Your duties will include (but not restricted to):

  • Cashflow management & forecasting
  • Month end finance duties including production of a fully reconciled TB, balance sheet & P&L
  • Daily bank reconciliation including daily sales and payment reconciliations (including bank payments, credit card and similar)
  • Purchase ledger
  • Sales ledger
  • Stock & margin reporting
  • Payroll including MTD reporting and payments
  • VAT
  • Ad hoc reporting & analysis

This is a long established business that needs a steady hand in the headwinds of interest rates, increased shipping and manufacturing costs and the challenges seen across the retail economy.
