Description

Yorkshire Causeway Schools Trust

Trust HR Lead
Thank you for considering our post.

This is a great time to work as part of Yorkshire Causeway Schools Trust as we build on the strong foundations that have been established since it was formed in 2015 and seek to expand beyond our current eight primary and one secondary school located across Harrogate and Craven.

We currently employ just under 600 staff who are the foundation of our provision of education that is ambitious for all of our students.

As part of our commitment to continue to improve as a good employer, the Trust is strengthening the central leadership of HR management starting with a review of our HR strategy.

Working with school leaders, the role will strengthen our support to them including in how we can create the very best opportunities for the development of our staff across the Trust.

Being a relatively new role to the central trust team, there will be opportunities for us to develop and refine the scope of the role, depending on the skills of the successful applicant.

With a background in education HR and used to thinking on your feet, you will join a highly effective central services team based in Harrogate, or potentially Skipton in due course if preferred.

We are excited by the skills and experience that you can bring to our team and committed to providing you with the support you need to be effective in the role.

The role will encompass strategic planning and leadership of HR, as well as developing and supporting high quality staffing management across the Trust.

Engaging effectively with Trust and school leaders, as a highly capable and credible HR professional, you will have the confidence to lead the wider trust HR agenda initially by establishing our HR strategy.

You will ideally be experienced in delivering high quality HR services in a schools or trust setting with a secure knowledge of national education sector pay and conditions arrangements.

As we grow and develop as an organisation you will support us in developing our arrangements in support of our being the very best employer for our staff, who are at the forefront of delivering education that is ambitious for our students.

As an organisation that prides itself on value and respect as the basis for all relationships, an ability to present and articulate your ideas confidently and persuasively, knowing how to motivate and engage those around you will also be key.

If you think we could be the next step in your HR career, then we very much look forward to hearing from you.

YCST is established on Christian values and is a growing organisation which is currently comprised of nine schools (both CE and community) and pupils aged 3 to 18 in and around Harrogate and Skipton.

The Trust has plans to expand in the local area.
