Clinical Lead - Nesbit House

Salary £51,000 - £55,000 Per annum

40 hours per week

We are looking for a passionate Clinical Lead to join our team

Summary of the role:

The Clinical Lead is responsible for supporting the Home Manager to drive the quality agenda and to provide guidance, support, and direction to colleagues.

Providing leadership as required, including deputising for the manager (if necessary), leading on the quality reporting and indicators, and constant monitoring through audit process and review action plans.

To provide clinical support such as medication administration on an adhoc basis to maintain NMC revalidation

Primary Responsibilities:

To support the Home Manager and other team members with effective utilisation of the systems and processes necessary to ensure the care home is managed efficiently and appropriately. The role requires a deep understanding of all relevant systems and processes a champion of same
To support the Home Manager to implement and implementing company policies and procedures. Making sure that audits are carried out, care plans are reviewed, action plans are addressed in line with company policy and procedures. Liaison with the Group quality team this may involve supporting other care homes
To assist the home to implement and monitor company policies ensuring compliance with relevant UK or Scottish legislation and guidance including but not limited to the CQC National Minimum Standards and legal frameworks i.e. DOLS & MCA and the Scottish equivalents
To work alongside the clinical/therapy team to improve care practices and improve the resident experience across the care home. Support with new referrals, admissions and the discharging process.
Coordinating and completing staff competencies and supervisions. To be responsible for mentoring new staff and ensuring they are integrated as part of the team.

Person Specification:
Essential

Must hold a professional registered nursing qualification (active current PIN) or equivalent

Minimum of 2 year's experience working as a Clinical Lead

Can-do', flexible, team worker, problem fixer, passion for what they do, ability to manage diverse and demanding workload, think out of the box, open to doing things differently

Desirable

Experience of working with the elderly. Must have the experience of working in a supervisory or management level role in a care home environment

Ambitious and passionate about delivering good quality care
