    Helpline Night Manager

    Birmingham, West Midlands

    We are seeking a skilled Helpline Night Manager to lead the delivery of an exceptional crisis prevention helpline. This involves effectively managing a team of advisers, promoting and developing the service.

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Provide strategic leadership and guidance to a team of crisis prevention advisers, ensuring they deliver a high-quality service.
    2. Develop and implement effective quality assurance processes to maintain consistency and excellence in service delivery.
    3. Conduct risk assessments and provide expert advice and guidance on safeguarding matters to the team, in line with established policies and procedures.
    4. Cover ad hoc rota shifts to support diverse clients via multi-channel communications, adhering to the helpline's remit at all times.

    Requirements for Success:

    1. A proven track record of building and managing high-performing teams, supporting their development, and managing performance.
    2. Experience in building, developing, and managing effective partnerships with stakeholders from various sectors, including community, voluntary, statutory, and political settings.
    3. Familiarity with safeguarding issues and their impact on young people and adults at risk.
    4. Degree-level education or a professional qualification in Health, Nursing, Social Work, Community Work, or a related field.

    Working Arrangements:

    • Hours: 33 hours per week
    • Shifts: Starting at 10:25pm, finishing at 07:40am, on a rota basis across a 7-day working week, with 4 night shifts per week
    • Location: Birmingham
    • Contract: Permanent
    • Benefits: 28 days' annual leave plus Bank Holidays (pro rata for part-time workers), hybrid and flexible working arrangements, an attractive pension scheme, Simply Health membership, enhanced sick pay, and enhanced parental pay

    Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 per annum, inclusive of an additional allowance of £2,080 per year for night shift work
