REED Accountancy are currently supporting a business based in Gloucester who are recruiting for a Sales and Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their busy team.

This is a permanent position paying up to £27k DOE.

The primary focus of the role initially will be on the sales ledger but there will also be opportunities to get involved in the purchase ledger to ensure the role is varied and allowing for future development:

The main responsibilities of the role are to:

  • Ensure key sales ledger activities are carried out in a timely and accurate basis;
  • Ensure key purchase ledger activities are carried out in a timely and accurate basis;
  • Provide administrative support to both the Sales Ledger Manager and the Purchase Ledger Manager

Qualifications/Experience:


  • Qualifications are not essential to the role and either a good historical demonstration of having worked in a similar environment/role or a keen passion for moving into such a role much more important;
  • Experience handling cash/tills an advantage.

Working Hours

  • 8:30am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday with half hour lunch. There is no ability to work from home with this role.
  • 28 days holiday inclusive of bank holidays.
