Description

Rainbow Mother and Baby unit is a 6 bedded specialist commissioned service offering assessment, support and treatment to women suffering from acute mental health illness during their third trimester of pregnancy up to baby being 12mths old.

Admissions are accepted primarily from the east of England.

The team work very closely with other key professions to ensure the best outcomes for both Mother and baby therefore strong communication skills are essential.


Perinatal work is an exciting area focusing not only on the individual but the extended family during what can be the most amazing and terrifying time in their life.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced, enthusiastic OTA dedicated to join our expanding service and support in the therapeutic interventions and activities offered to our patient group

Take a leading role on the delivery of therapeutic activities on the ward. Working alongside the MDT and other therapists to offer individual and group activities to the women on the unit as part of the wider treatment programme

Our EPUT NHS staff bank is an entity managed by the trust that hires clinical and non-clinical healthcare professionals to take on shifts at our trust hospitals and community settings.

Here at EPUT we maintain our own bank of specialist staff to ensure that we are able offer safe and effective care at all times.


All our permanent staff are automatically enrolled onto the staff bank however this does not mean you have to work any additional shifts, but the option is there for you if you wish.


If you are joining our Trust in a fixed term role, please indicate on your New Starter Paperwork that you wish to join our staff bank.

Support in the running of Mother/Infant groups

Conduct 1:1 activities on the ward to support individual recovery
