Our client, a well-established company based in the Poole area is recruiting for a Senior Commercial Officer to support the company, Project and Bid Managers with effective and efficient contract management to ensure compliance.
As Senior Commercial Officer/Contract Manager you will be responsible for managing contracts, accountability and ownership for Contract reviews, negotiations, and decisions for new and existing business.
Key Responsibilities and Duties- Prepare and submit commercial and legal competitive bids, quotations, proposals, and contract models
- Negotiate contracts and agreement and conduct independent pricing and cost model analysis, ensuring all sales contracts are commercially viable, deliverable, profitable, and risk averse
- Generate, finalise and maintain accurate and compliant commercial documents and records
- Independently identify, define, and implement contract revisions and improvements
- Attend internal and external meetings at all levels, developing and presenting company review materials, to support bid and contract activity and reporting the risk
- Evaluate commercial considerations, and compliance against group contracting policy
- Draft, review, administer and manage Non-Disclosure Agreements
- Conduct and manage Credit Reports and Due Diligence in line with appointments and renewals.
- Maintain Company Standard Terms & Conditions to ensure they remain legally compliant and protect the interest of the Company
- Liaise with other departments in the business to ensure risks are understood and mitigated on a commercial level
- Maintain Departmental Procedures to ensure best practice, continuous improvements and procedural waste is reduced
- Experience as a Commercial Officer or similar Contracts Management role is essential
- Knowledge of risk mitigation and commercial best practice
- Knowledge of different types of commercial contracts and experience assessing Commercial Terms & Conditions and Agreements
- The ability to understand and adhere to legislation and compliance regulations
- Confident, selfdriven, strong interpersonal, problem solving and analytical skills
- Clear, concise written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail
- Good time management, prioritisation, and planning skills
- Enthusiastic, flexible, adaptable, and consistent with a strong teamwork attitude
- The ability to multitasking in a highvolume fast paced department
