Senior Management Consultants (Band 8c) - NHS - London
£74,441 - £84,651 per annum inclusive of HCAS
Job Summary:
Working for an in-house NHS transformation service supporting London's NHS organisations and partners to deliver service improvement and transformation in line with the NHS long-term plan.
They operate as a consultancy service, run by the NHS for the NHS, providinghigh-quality bespoke project delivery and advisory services to a wide range of organisations across health and social care.
Their consultants bring their extensive public, private and third sector experience to bear on the NHS's most complex problems, as they advise, deliver and support bespoke portfolio, programme and project management solutions and end-to-end transformation services.
Experience Needed:
_Essential criteria_**:
- Experience of working with data and to provide actionable insights
- Experience of operating in a fluid and evolving environment, being able to thrive in ambiguity (and leading others to do so)
- Works collaboratively and has experience of leading crossfunctional teams and managing multiple interfaces
- Experience of leading engagement with a diverse range of stakeholders with the ability to adapt style accordingly
- Experience of business development (e.g. development and drafting of larger bids and proposals/ creating leads and referrals through understanding of client needs)
- Experience of project leadership
- Experience of line management (managers of managers, developing talent and addressing performance issues)
- Experience of managing multiple projects/ assignments concurrently
- Experience in consulting
_Desirable criteria_:
- Experience of building and managing longterm trusted relationships with very senior stakeholders
Knowledge and skills needed
_Essential criteria_**:
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Tools (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Detailed understanding of health policy, commissioning and the wider health and care landscape
- Strong influencing and relationshipmanagement skills at a senior level
- Able to work shouldertoshoulder with clients and delegate to / work through others to meet client expectations
- Strong numerical and verbal reasoning skills. Able to lead the team in the synthesis of information in order to produce high quality deliverables and recommendations tailored to a range of stakeholders
- Able to write and deliver clear and concise executive level communications and briefings
- Able to lead teams to deploy NHS and/or other change and improvement methodologies
- Able to solve and to coach and guide colleagues and clients to solve complex problems
