We are looking for an experienced Broker Support ideally from a Property or Energy background to join Bowring Marsh.

Bowring Marsh is the trading name of a dedicated department within Marsh, that mainly services Marsh worldwide offices.

We are a tight, professional and technical team of 50+ insurance professionals working to provide superior levels of service to our portfolio of large international property/energy clients.


With 10 offices in the United Kingdom, Ireland, Continental Europe, Asia, the Middle East, Latin America, United States and Bermuda, our other Bowing Marsh teams cover a range of Insurance products across the following areas: Casualty, Terrorism, North American Property, Life Sciences and Mining.


What can you expect:


  • Work within a highly skilled team that specialises in managing a portfolio of existing international property/energy clients.
  • Perform tasks related to the quoting, binding and servicing of new and renewal accounts to assist with servicing clients
  • Assist with responding to client requests for information, coordinating with other departments as necessary, and clearing with Broker.
  • Assist in the timely production of placement slips, binding documentation, and policies and in tracing payment and collecting of premiums to provide quality deliverables to clients and insurers.
  • As well as technical and administrative support, depending on seniority and experience, the Broker Support may be expected to deal directly, and build relationships with, clients, intermediaries and markets, in order to ensure the timely and accurate processing of placements, and comprehensive servicing.

We will rely on you to:

  • The Broker Support is charged with providing intimate support to Brokers and management of the placement process
  • new business, slips and renewals.
  • Client/intermediary/market onboarding, through to collection and distribution of premiums, as well as routine servicing of accounts.
  • Implement the Placement strategy to achieve growth goals and provide exceptional client service.
  • Bind coverage and be responsible for the accuracy of placement binders.
  • Create and maintain relationships within own practice, insurance markets, clients, and underwriters to provide cohesive client service.
  • Interface closely with client executives and client teams to support client retention and new business production.

What you need to have:


  • Experience gained within insurance as an account handler/broker support, able to calmly process large amount of work with accuracy
  • Previous or current experience working for an Insurance Broker
  • Relevant experience in processing slips and endorsements
  • Confident and articulate verbal and written communicator
  • Desire to develop relationships with colleagues and clients
  • Strong organisational skills and an ability to multitask
