Human Resource ManagerSAE Creative Media Institute, London
Full-time, permanent, 40 hours per week
Salary from up to £40,000 per annum
SAE Institute is a Higher Education provider in Creative Media, which has significant growth plans over the next few years.
Working closely with the Financial Controller, Payroll Officer and other key stakeholders for the UK and where appropriate additional supportfor the wider region ensuring the delivery of the HR service of the employee lifecycle including general HR enquiries, recruitment, pre-onboarding, employee changes and leavers and supporting the wellness and health and safety activities whilst ensuring datamanagement compliance of human resource records.
Key Responsibilities:
HR Administration
- Provide administrative support including for new starters, recruitment, employee records, leavers, absence, maternity, and contract variations, etc.;
- Receive, maintain and action employee information, transactions and records correctly and accurately;
- Assist with the day to day functions of HR enquiries and workflows;
- Assist in ensuring all managers follow the correct processes and policy in all employee transactions, raising any concerns, issues or additional need for training where required.
- Support the development of Line Managers capabilities and knowledge of Human Resource processes by providing support and guidance through the employee lifecycle
- Provide administrative support to Line Managers as part of the annual budget setting cycle to ensure appropriate approval and process management of workforce planning and recruitment.
- Produce regular people metrics and data reports for internal and external stakeholders including workplace health and safety and wellness.
Regulatory
- Upkeep and management of the HR system for all employee records and data, ensuring adherence to all compliance and regulatory requirements for agency / regulatory bodies such as UK Visa and Immigrations (UKVI), Higher Education Statistics Agency (HESA),HMRC etc
- Review and for ensure appropriate approvals are in place for all transactions;
- Take ownership of HR processes from start to completion;
- Work with the Financial Controller and key stakeholders to drive the continuous improvement of SAE UK's compliance and quality standards.
- Support the management of external relationships and third party suppliers such as recruitment platforms, employee assistance programme, SAGE etc.
Essential Criteria:
- Professional HR operational experience, with knowledge and understanding of employment regulations and practices.
- HR or equivalent qualification and experience of working in a busy HR environment
- Initiative to understand the priorities of the business and promote efficient processes
- Experience of working in customer or client service delivery
- Proficient in the use of standard software packages such as Microsoft, Google and SAGE
- Full working rights for the UK.
Desirable Criteria:
- Experience of working in the education sector.
- Experience of working in a Matrix leadership structure
