About the role:
As the HR Assistant and Learning Centre Coordinator at Horizon Academy Trust, you will work closely with the HR Adviser to provide HR support to both the central team and the 7 schools within the trust.
- Providing a professional HR service to service users across the 7 schools including advising on policies and procedures and terms and conditions of employment
- Responding to first line queries from schools, referring on more complex queries
- Supporting the management of staff attendance including occupational health referrals and trend reporting
- Undertaking recruitment
- Data collation and reporting
- Organising and servicing HR meetings
- Assisting with ad hoc HR projects
The role will also be responsible for undertaking all administrative responsibilities for the smooth running of the Learning Centre, which plays a vital role in the trust to support collaboration.
Skills and attributes we are looking for:
- Experience of working in a HR environment dealing with employee relations
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent planning, organisational and time management skills to meet strict deadlines
- Ability to work independently and problem solve
- Ability to work calmly and flexibly
- Credible and professional and quickly able to demonstrate value
- High level of attention to detail
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office
- The CIPD Level 3 Foundation Certificate in Human Resources Practice or equivalent or equivalent relevant HR experience
