Description
An opportunity has arisen for a Civil Engineering Technician in Derby.


Main duties:

  • Preparation of preliminary surface and foul water drainage designs and drawings.
  • Preparation of sustainable drainage concepts and designs for projects.
  • Production of the development of utility reports and liaison with third parties.
  • Production of initial junction designs
  • Assist with site inspections / reviews and analyse data.
  • Preparation of reports such as flood risk assessments, transport statements and utility reports.
  • Use of CAD and other computerised design systems.

Key skills:

  • Experience in AutoCAD or similar software
  • Working towards or holding a Civil Engineering qualification.
  • Some experience in a similar role.
  • Working knowledge of MicroDrainage, Civil 3D, or FLOW.
  • Working knowledge of UK codes of Practices and Design Standards for highways and drainage.
