Job Outline - Team Leader


Our client is a growing dynamic integrated healthcare business and due to continued growth they have a vacancy for an experienced Team Leader to manage a small team.

As a business they want to make a real difference which is why they employ a multidisciplinary team to help employees and their families address the multifactorial issues associated with ill health and help the person understand and engage in a proactive self-help programme.


Purpose of the Role
To affectively lead, develop and motivate a small team.


Principle Objectives

  • To show clear ownership and accountability for the delivery of all team outcomes and client relationships
  • Be able to forecast and monitor core performance areas and client activity to support the running of the day to day operations
  • Able to identify customer journey/process improvement needs
  • Understands and considers commercial awareness of team's activities
  • Demonstrate a professional and respectful approach during all interactions whether this be internal or external
  • To take responsibility for recognition of any personal training needs in discussion with the Operations Director.

Skills Knowledge and Expertise

  • Previous experience of managing a team (ideally from within a health related industry)
  • Demonstrate confident telephone skills using effective listening and empathy with employees and stakeholders, covering both inbound and outbound calls
  • Plan and control activities to meet objectives
  • Maintain productive working relationships
  • Manage workload effectively to meet customer deadlines and service standards
  • Conduct regular 121's and PDP's with team using judgement and experience of learning and development principles
  • Understand clinical and non-clinical pathways
  • How to conduct telephone assessments and feedback using motivational interviewing or similar techniques.
  • CBT principles and motivational interviewing techniques are also a valuable skill for this role
  • Ability to motivate individuals
  • Ability to coach team members up or out where required
  • Ability to understand and demonstrate

IT Skills

Essential

  • MS Outlook
  • Accurate data input skills
  • MS Word & Excel & Power point
  • CRM and supporting electronic databases

Education

Education - Minimum Requirement
English and Maths GCSE Grade C or above

Degree level education (ideally health related) or equivalent professional certification or extensive relevant experience

Need to evidence ability to write clear and accurate English

Salary up to £30K plus excellent benefits package.
