An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 4 Nursing Associate to join our Outpatients team.

We are looking for a dynamic and highly motivated individual to join a team of dedicated and enthusiastic staff members who strive to deliver care of the highest quality.


STAFF CAR PARKING


Staff Car Parking on the West Suffolk Hospital Site is eligible for individuals working outside of the core hours, 07:00 - 18:30.

This role is eligible to park on site.


The main duties of the Nursing Associate include:
Support Consultants and patients in the Outpatient's clinic.

To be responsible for setting up and the general running of all clinics, including

  • Plastic dressings clinics
  • Support in the ultrasound room in the breast clinic
  • Pain Clinic
  • Specialist ENT clinics
To support new staff and any learners in the department.

Nursing Associates are responsible for the assessment, development, implementation and evaluation of individual programmes of care.


They are expected to give help and support to the Nursing Assistants and to act as a role model using their own initiative and to work independently within the bounds of their existing knowledge and skill.


They need to use effective verbal and written communication with all members of the multidisciplinary team within own department and the wider clinical area and to engage in effective communication with patients, relatives and visitors.


They are responsible for delivering high standards of patient care based on evidence-based practice and have a professional duty to update and develop their professional practice.
