Description
Successful applicants will be a key member of a multi-disciplinary Health Care Public Health team.

You will work closely with our four Health and Social Care Partnerships and provide assurance to the Lead Consultant for Health Care Public Health around quality, safety and the effectiveness of local vaccination strategies.

You will provide expert clinical advice on improving outcomes and reducing inequalities in vaccination uptake.

We are looking for a Nurse Consultant with specialist knowledge, expertise and experience in immunisation at a senior level. The post holder will have the ability to provide strategic, operational, clinical and professional leadership.

You will have the experience and ability to prioritise your own work effectively and be able to direct activities across a wide range of stakeholders, often in a politically sensitive environment.


The post holder will liaise with colleagues in Public Health Scotland and represent NHS Lothian on national groups, such as the Scottish Immunisation Programme Group.

You will also lead, and line manage staff within NHS Lothian's Public Health directorate.
