This role is based in a mainstream secondary school extra support with students who have been identified with Social, Emotional Behavioural or Mental Health issues (BESD, EBD, SEMH).

We have a variety of short-term, long-term and permanent opportunities with our client schools across West Yorkshire. We offer full induction training and Level 2 Team Teach certification by our inhouse training team. These roles are generally term time only Mon-Fri.

Duties include:

Working with small groups or on a onetoone basis
Support the class teacher in addressing the needs of the pupils
Assist pupils who need particular help with behaviour management to overcome barriers to learning
Help to develop and implement IEPs/EHCPs and behaviour management strategies
Have an understanding of needs including BESD, EBD, SEMH and other SpLD
Be patient, resilient and empathetic to students' individual needs
Experience of working with children and young adults as either a Youth Worker, a Sports Coach or within an education setting would be advantageous
An uptodate DBS that is on the DBS Update Service (or be willing to undertake a new one)
Proof of Safeguarding at a minimum of Level 1 (or be willing to undergo online training)
