Job Summary:

We are looking for a motivated and customer-oriented Retail Assistant to join our team at a reputable carpet store in Cardiff.

As a key member of our sales team, you will assist customers in selecting the perfect carpet for their homes while providing exceptional service and expertise in the field of carpet sales.

Key Responsibilities:

• Welcome customers with a friendly demeanor upon their store arrival and aid them in discovering the ideal carpet for their requirements.
• Furnish comprehensive product details, encompassing carpet varieties, materials, hues, and installation alternatives.
• Gauge and approximate the quantity of carpet essential for customers' spaces and furnish precise price estimates.
• Support customers in choosing carpet styles and designs that align with their tastes and enhance their home decor.
• Organize and uphold carpet exhibits to effectively showcase various styles, hues, and textures.
• Collaborate with the installation team to schedule carpet fittings and ensure punctual delivery and installation.
• Manage customer complaints or concerns in a professional manner and escalate intricate issues to the store manager as needed.
• Stay abreast of the latest carpet trends, industry advancements, and promotions to offer wellinformed recommendations to customers.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Knowledge of different carpet types, materials, and installation methods.
• Ability to accurately measure and estimate carpet quantities for rooms.
• Proficiency in using POS systems and basic computer skills.
• Team player with a positive attitude and a passion for interior design.
• Flexibility to work on weekends and holidays as needed.
