Job description:

Step Teachers have long standing relationships with many schools and academy trusts across North London and we are currently looking for a Spanish Teacher for a Head of Department role in an 'Oustanding' Secondary School in Enfield.

The role is full time, starting in September 2023 and while it is initially on a long term supply basis, the school are looking to make the contract permanent for the right teacher to join their team.

This secondary school are strong advocates for the creating a supportive environement where every single individual has the best chance to learn and reach their potential; not just academically, but as well rounded individuals.

Role:

Strong knowledge of the MFL curriculum at both GCSE and A Level, with a specialism in Spanish
Organised and professional maintenance of the classroom and the associated resources
Committed to supporting every child to reach their full potential
Work effectively with other members of staff, both within the department and throughout the school
Ability to assess students, monitor their progress
Be able to lead and support the staff within the department
Able to plan and deliver engaging and comprehensive lessons
Compliance with the schools' policies and the reliable implementation of these

Requirements:

Hold QTS or an equivalent qualification for teaching in secondary school
Have recent mainstream schoolbased experience teaching MFL at secondary school level
A relevant MFL, ideally Spanish, related degree is desirable.
SEND experience is desirable
