Are you passionate about advocating for individuals experiencing homelessness and ensuring fair decisions? Were seeking a Review Officer for an immediate start in Redbridge.

This role offers a competitive rate of £25.23 per hour UMB.


Key Responsibilities:


Conduct high-quality, timely reviews of homelessness decisions under section 202 of the Housing Act 1996, as well as reviews functions under the Homelessness Reduction Act 2017.

Manage cases that go to section 204 appeal in the County Court and further appeal in higher courts, including judicial reviews and other housing court challenges.

Work to reduce the need for temporary accommodation and associated expenditure by conducting effective and timely reviews, while also providing quality options, prevention, and relief advice as part of review casework.

Take responsibility for recording high-quality data on all types of reviews to support submission to the Department for Communities and Local Government, ensuring key trends on homelessness, causes, and solutions are available for analysis.

Analyze information on homelessness and allocations as it relates to reviews to support the management of demand and response to trends.


Additional Information:


This is a specialist role at the forefront of the new reviews functions following the introduction of the Homelessness Act 2017.
