- Are you ready to join our young, dynamic and incredibly ambitious team? Due to rapid global expansion, we have an opportunity to join our Technical Team as a Technical Support Assistant_.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with the IT team to manage any technical issues.
- Diagnosing and repairing faults.
- Speaking to customers to quickly get to the root of their problem.
- Providing timely and accurate customer feedback.
- Operating a ticketing system to manage various issues.
- Provisioning cameras for new and existing customers.
- Conducting interactive training sessions with clients.
- Testing and evaluating new technologies.
- Testing new software and firmware releases
- Be able to work in a fastmoving environment.
- Ability to prioritise and manage several milestones and projects efficiently.
- Escalating Faults to 2nd and 3rd line support when required.
Required Experience
- A degree in computing. (Computer science/CIT)
- 1+ years experience in an IT environment.
- Extensive experience working with different operating systems including Windows and Mac OS.
- Good written and verbal communication.
Desired Experience
- Experience with scripting languages such as batch and shell.
- Basic knowledge of Linux.
- Prior experience in tech support, desktop support, or a similar role.
- Experience in creating/editing bat and shell script files.
- Regression testing
- Exposure to a programming language (Java or Python)
- Demonstrable experience in hardware repair
