Hours: 30 hours (4 days a week)

About the role
Certitude's mental health support has been an integral part of our offer to Londoners for over 30 years.

Our support ranges across the accommodation-based pathway to a number of peer led, coproduced offers which provide expertise and lived experience supportto people to manage and improve not just their mental health but their day to day lives overall.

The Mental Health Development Lead will be a natural leader, able to combine thinking and doing to evolve our mental health support; build strong relationships and networks; get the best out of teams, with a can-do, flexible approach.


Duties will include:


  • Develop our accommodationbased support to people who would otherwise have prolonged hospital admissions at detriment to both themselves and to the wider system.
  • Identify our competency, capacity, and appetite to expand our forensic mental health support.
  • Establish the strengths and gaps in our current models of support and the appropriate action to expand our offer.
  • Set out the skill set of colleagues supporting people with mental health needs across our offers of support.
  • Share your own expertise and learning to enable the organisation to continually grow and develop.

About you
To be a Mental Health Development Lead at Certitude, the following are essential:

  • Senior level mental health experience either in the profit or not for profit sector
  • Current experience of a range of mental health support models including: forensic, rehabilitation and recovery focused
  • Understanding of the NHS Long Term Plan, the priority areas for London Integrated Care Systems for mental health and how these are being applied in practice
  • Ability to identify key development areas for colleagues and support them in achieving development goals
  • Good business acumen with the ability to produce and analyse financial and other data including cost / benefit and risk analysis
  • Skilled influencer, with the ability to coordinate multiple teams to achieve a common goal
