An exciting opportunity has arisen at SNAP and we are looking for a Events & Community Co-ordinator to join our fundraising team.
About SNAP
The Events & Community Co-ordinator role
To help us continue the great work we do, we are looking for an outgoing, ambitious, and positive person to join our Fundraising team.
You will represent SNAP by building on existing relationships with various groups across the community, raising awareness of our work and supporting others to fundraise for SNAP.
You will also manage and grow a network of volunteers to represent and support the fundraising team. Confident, articulate, and professional speaking abilities are essential.
Another key aspect of this role is to develop and lead SNAP events, such as our annual quiz in January and golf day in September.
You will be responsible for the management and delivery for each of these events and lead our voluntary Events Committee to develop new opportunities.
You will need to be highly organised and motivated as well as able to travel to locations across Essex independently.
Experience managing a budget is essential, and previous events and/or fundraising experience is required.
This role will require out of hours working, which will be given back as TOIL as the Fundraising Manager agrees.
You will need to have excellent written and spoken communication skills, attention to detail and confidence using the computer and the telephone.
Key responsibilities of the Events & Community Co-ordinator role:
Develop Community Fundraising building on existing local relationships
Manage SNAP's participation in community events helping to raise awareness of our charity, organising engaging activities and support for the event
Manage and develop the fundraising and community volunteers, providing appropriate training, resources, and support
Lead the planning and delivery of SNAP events with the support of the Events Committee
Support the tracking and processing of incoming donations, adhering to SNAP's processes and ensuring donors are thanked appropriately
Represent SNAP at meetings, presentations and events including selected networking, (evenings and weekend events are common)
Attend training courses as required
Other administrative and general SNAP duties as required by management
