Description
Our client is a renewable energy organisation that is undergoing rapid growth.

It aims to help facilitate the energy transition demands of the UK and EU by developing and investing into large-scale solar and battery storage projects.

The team comprises individualswith a proven track record in infrastructure investment, renewables spheres and innovation.

As a Grid Connection Engineer, you will be helping develop the UKs grid network helping it to become more resilient and flexible.


Grid Connection Engineer - Climate Change

Hybrid Working - London Office

Salary circa - £50,000pa DOE

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform grid connection studies of renewable energy sites.
  • Review/design technical drawings for submission.
  • Review and assess received Connection Offers
  • Collaborate and liaise with ICPs, IDNOs and EPCs
  • Organise and keep records of updates of ongoing and potential projects.
  • Completing grid studies
  • Working with DNOs, TSOs and internal teams to progress the company's solar PV and battery storage projects.
  • Perform any other duties as required.

Key Qualifications & Experience

  • An engineering degree in a relevant field: Power Systems Engineering/ Electrical Engineering.
  • Previous engineering experience gained within the electricity industry.
  • Knowledge and experience with HV and EHV grid connections, standards, regulations, and requirements.
  • Experience of working in a DNO, IDNO or ICP background.
  • Experience in designing solar power, battery or windfarm generation.
  • Experience in Distribution Network Operator (DNO) and Transmission System Operator (TSO) connections
  • Knowledge of the use of LTDS and other public data available for studies.
