Key Responsibilities

  • Developing and running financial models to analyse the performance of landlords' assets, against both financial and socioeconomic criteria.
  • Working with clients to source data to support analysis.
  • Handling large data sets and organising information ready for analysis.
  • Checking and reviewing outputs to ensure all details of a landlord's operation have been captured.
  • Preparing presentations of findings to clients and presenting and discussing conclusions with senior managers.
  • Assisting with the development of asset management services, including improving efficiency of modelling, developing partnerships with third party providers of information and developing ideas for product extension.
  • Further, develop our business analytics platform and improve the use of such reporting systems to both clients and internally within the team to improve efficiency.
  • Helping to win new business.
  • Working with colleagues on providing affordable housing consultancy services to clients, as part of a wider team.

Key Skills

  • Interest in and understanding of UK affordable housing sector (advantageous but not essential).
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and familiar with MS Word and PowerPoint (applicants can expect a timed excel test as part of the selection process).
  • Interest in using business analytics.
  • Problem solving and data modelling experience someone with attention to detail and experience of handling large data sets.
  • Good written skills to prepare reports and tenders for new projects.
  • Excellent time management skills with ability to meet multiple deadlines.
  • Selfstarter, demonstrates initiative and tenacity and strives for the best.
  • Strong team player: builds relationships and consults with others, establishing trust and credibility.
  • Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team supporting senior managers.

Team Overview


The role is based in our affordable housing consultancy team of around 20 people, which primarily advises housing associations, local authorities and for-profit registered providers.

The wider team helps these organisations to meet regulatory expectations,manage their assets proactively, acquire and sell tenanted properties, and plan future business directions strategically.

We are located within the affordable housing division, which is the largest and most experienced affordable housing advisory business in the UK.

It comprises more than 100 colleagues who deliver valuation, treasury, property surveying and development services.********Savills employee offer
