About Our Client:
An attractive and well established business to work for, based in the Walton-On-Thames area.
This is a fully office based role, with free parking, and free lunches provided.
The Payroll Supervisor role involves
:
Payroll
- Efficiently manage the flow of new starters and leavers.
- Ensure accurate payment of normal pay, overtime, casual hours, holidays & holiday pay, commissions and any other payroll payments (circa 1200 staff on the payroll)
- Ensure accurate calculation of statutory payments, such as, SSP, SMP, SPP.
- Manage pension schemes and payment of contributions to providers.
- Prepare monthly payroll journals.
- Prepare payroll control account reconciliations and maintain control accounts.
- Liaise with HR, general managers, administrators and department heads.
- Develop and update payroll procedures and systems.
- Maintain payroll staff records and archiving.
- Supervising 2 x experienced Payroll Assistants
Reporting
- Complete all annual HMRC payroll reporting requirements including P35, P60, P11D returns and PAYE settlement returns.
- Manage HMRC Real Time Information (RTI) and payment of PAYE.
- Deal efficiently with HMRC correspondence, including tax code amendments.
- Prepare monthly and ad hoc reports.
The Successful Applicant:
- Ideally have Sage 50 Payroll experience
- Have staff supervision experience (not essential)
- Live locally as this is a fully office based role (although you will be able to work from home on a few occasions if you have appointments etc)
- Ideally have either CIPP or AAT qualification (not essential)
- A basic understanding of Finance is also desirable
- MUST be a driver as the site is hard to reach by public transport
