A leading B2B distributor of heating and plumbing products is looking for a commercially-minded Product Supply Manager to lead their Supplier Relations team.
This role provides an excellent opportunity to make an impact and shape the multi-site purchasingand inbound supply teams.You will be joining a professional, ambitious and growing distribution business that offers excellent career prospects and rewards as part of a larger £1 billion turnover group of companies.
Role Responsibilities
The Supplier Relations team's overall responsibility is to develop and manage relationships with the business' supplier base.
This includes cost price negotiations, margin enhancement, product ranging and NPD, purchasing incentives and promotional support aswell as providing the wider business with an understanding of category performance.
This role will form an important part of the Supplier Relations Team whilst learning about the broader business.As Product Supply Manager, your responsibilities will include:
- Leading a team of 6 people split across 3 sites who review sales activity and plan and place purchase orders
- Coordinating the goods in activity and throughput at the operating sites, working closely with the site operation teams
- Working with suppliers to ensure timely and accurate supply planning seasonal capacity
- Working with other teams to coordinate investment buying and a range of development and promotional activities
- Reviewing and improving processes and systems
- Travelling to the operating units where the product supply teams are based (Birmingham, Bedford and Wakefield)
Rewards
As Product Supply Manager, you will receive a package including:
- A starting salary between £45,000
- £55,000 (depending on experience)

Requirements:
To be successful in this Product Supply Manager role, you should be:
- A graduate (or similar) with 5 years + experience in a fast-paced inbound supply environment
- A strong communicator with demonstrated team leadership skills
- Organised and analytical
- Bright, enthusiastic and commercially astute
- Competent with using Excel and data mining ERP systems
