Our client is an independent accountancy practice. As part of their expansion plans, they are looking to add a full-time VAT and Indirect Tax Senior Manager to the firm to support the Senior Partners with VAT accounting duties and associated clientprojects.

About the role
This role would suit a motivated and professional individual, looking to take a managerial role in tax advisory work.

Reporting to the VAT Partner, the VAT and Indirect Tax Senior Manager will provide valuable VAT advisory insight for projects andmandatoryreporting requirements.


Key aspects of the role include:

  • Supporting the VAT Partner in delivering complex VAT advisory projects;
  • Identifying, planning and delivering high quality VAT advisory services to clients across a range of sectors;
  • Drafting appropriate scope and budget for each piece of work, and delivering against agreed KPIs and fee targets;
  • Monitoring the status of each project and ensuring the appropriate levels of communication with clients, as well as being responsible for client contact on advisory projects;
  • Supporting the VAT Partner in targeting VAT opportunities and business development;
  • Coaching and managing technical development of junior team members.
The ideal person
- and 10-years' experience in a VAT advisory role across a range of sectors. They will also have experience dealing with multiple clients, and have a focused and driven attitude towardshelping to grow the firm'sVAT advisory offering.

The position would suit an excellent communicator, keen to progress in their role. The person should be approachable and able to manage others with a track record of business development success.
