Job Description:


KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Manage the delivery of the finance reporting cycle in line with Group requirements (to include Weekly, WD6 Flash, WD10 month end consolidation and WD12 SAP upload files)
  • Be an active part of the senior management team, working directly with the CEO, Ops Director, HR and head of Commercial, ensuring the voice of Finance is heard
  • Lead the CML Finance team (8 people), managing all staff issues as necessary including the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable teams
  • Prepare the annual financial statements and manage the external audit process, meeting Group deadlines
  • Prepare annual budgets, quarterly reforecasts and long term plans as required by the Group planning timetable
  • Be the focal point across the wider Culina and Muller groups for all financial matters including system developments, reporting requirements, the implementation of new reporting and accounting standards, etc.
  • Responsibility for ensuring robust financial controls within the business as well as adherence to the Muller internal control policy
  • Review, identify and challenge financial trends that impact on the CML's profitability
  • Liaise and action all issues arising with the Muller Tax Department
  • Advise and support the CML Commercial team of pricing, payment and rebate issues

Qualifications:


  • Experienced Qualified accountant with relevant experience in both financial control/reporting, statutory accounts and working with external auditors as well as commercial and planning/budgeting activities
  • Robust personality to stand up to competing organisational demands
  • Ideally experience of using Sage accounting system
  • Experience of business partnering with operational teams
  • Team Management experience
  • Experience of working within a logistics business is ideal
  • Efficient and can offer flexibility to meet various competing deadlines
  • Tenacious focused on delivery and closure
  • Good communicator, both within the local team and the wider group
  • Competent in the use of Excel spreadsheets accurate with good attention to detail
