A fast-growth organisation, who are passionate about providing affordable housing and accommodation in Hampshire, have approached the NET Professional team in sourcing a Land Manager to join their growing business.

With their sights set on expanding further in the coming years, the acquisition of a Land Managerwould enable projects to progress more rapidly and reach their fruition.

Your Role & Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Managing professional consultations effectively including in the planning process, contract negotiations and bid submissions
  • Building & maintaining relationships with all relevant personnel involved in the process of site identification and acquisition
  • Ensuring disciplined budget management, procedures, programme plans for projects, and audit requirements are all implemented
  • Identifying sites for land acquisition, or other development opportunities that contribute to a strong development programme
  • Negotiating, developing and submitting bids and making presentations as part of the process of winning support for new initiatives
  • Spotting opportunities for growth in the current market, as well as understanding current trends and operational areas in the business
  • Understanding the planning process & ensuring new build schemes are maximised and have the best chance of obtaining planning permission
  • Undertaking detailed financial & risk appraisals of schemes and presenting reports as necessary to the Project Approval Committee
  • Ensuring the highest standards of Health and Safety are maintained in all areas of operation at all times

What you will need to Apply:
For this position, applicants will need to have appraisal, bid & acquisition experience of land. in accordance with Section 106.

You should have direct industry experience, working within social or private sector housing; and demonstrate the ability to undertakecontract negotiation and subsequent completion.

You will need to have strong IT and numeracy skills, understanding Excel and capable of running financial appraisals in packages such as ProVal.

You will need to be an excellent communicator, capable of developinginterpersonal relationships at various levels and overseeing multiple facets of budgets.

You will need to be methodical, show excellent attention-to-detail and the ability to think innovatively, working both independently and as part of a larger team.

For this position, applicants can expect to receive a salary up to £70,000, with bonus and a number of additional benefits and perks attached, as well as the opportunity for hybrid working.
