Depop is a place for anyone to discover and celebrate their style on their own terms, and to feel good about their fashion choices by extending the lives of millions of garments.

The company was founded in 2011 and is headquartered in London with offices in Manchester and New York.

Depop has approximately 400 employees dedicated to its mission of building the world's most diverse progressive home of fashion, that's kinder on the planet and kinder to people.

In 2021, Depop became a wholly-owned subsidiary of Etsy - the global marketplace for unique and creative goods - and continues to operate as a standalone company.

We're continuing to build recruitment processes that are fair and welcome requests for reasonable adjustments required throughout your interview experience with us.

You'll be someone who keeps employee experience at the forefront of how you work and communicate.

Managers and employees at Depop will look to you for your sound advice on generalist People topics, and you'll work closely with the People Partners and wider People Operations team to manage employee relations cases and support on projects that will shape employee experience at Depop as we continue to scale.

You'll have the potential to develop your career with us as we grow, with the potential to move into a People Partner role in the future or explore other opportunities within People Ops.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage our employee relations caseload, covering disciplinaries, grievances and performance improvement.

You'll take a fair and supportive approach to:

  • Support with delivery of the People agenda and change initiatives through project work on topics such as performance management, employee engagement and wellbeing

  • Help drive and embed diversity practices into all that we do and support the delivery of Depop's DEI objectives within People
  • Embed our Depop DNA as a core part of how we frame decisions, design and deliver People solutions

  • we're just as happy for you to have gained hands-on experience throughout your career so far
  • Experience in handling and resolving employee relations and performance improvement cases and confidence in being our goto person for them
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to communicate complex or difficult information with clarity and empathy
