Who are we looking for?
You will join our close-knit Operations Team, driving the production of our own electrical and mechanical products alongside our customers design to build and build to print products in our leading-edge lean
- manufacturing production facility.

You will ensure that Atec's production is fully planned, so that customer demand is always met.

You will work closely with Production Management, Customer Service and Purchasing to ensure that products are available to customers on time, materials are available when needed, stock levels are controlled, and production utilisation is maximised whilst maintaining quality.


You will have a strong track record of delivering excellent results as part of a dynamic team and display a positive attitude.


Role Benefits:


  • Competitive Salary: Starting: £30,000 £35,000 depending on experience
  • Pension: Atec offers it's employee's generous pension contributions
  • Holiday: 23.5 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays, increasing with length of service. (Buy up to a maximum of one full week)
  • Flexible working environment: We work a fourday week 37 hours Monday to Thursday between 6:45am and 17:45pm

Role Requirements:


Experience:


  • You will have 2 or more years of previous experience in production planning in a technical manufacturing business. You will be used to working in a Lean Manufacturing environment and understand the flow of materials through a factory.

Education:


  • You will be educated to HND level or above

Characteristics:

  • Able to gather all the key data needed, liaising with key stakeholders and construct / update a plan.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and to remain calm and clearheaded under pressure.
  • Analytical able to gather data, identify key elements, draw logical conclusions and make decisions.
  • Able to work as a team player and deliver excellent quality on time.
  • Good communication skills comfortable dealing with all levels of seniority and presenting information clearly and concisely.
  • Openminded and able to contribute ideas.
  • An excellent problem solver with the ability and drive to approach an issue from a number of angles to find a solution.

Skills:


  • Production planning in technical manufacturing
  • Confident working with MRP to plan production.
  • Understanding / Experience in Lean Manufacturing. Familiar with the concept of singlepiece flow.
  • Confident working with an ERP system
  • Good understanding of Supply
