Description
The Head of Digital Transformation is a key role within the strategic leadership team.

The postholder will be responsible for delivering a programme of Digital Transformation within the business whilst driving and growing the existing technology function.

They will play an important role in shaping the future direction of CDE by ensuring the business has the technical capability to drive growth.

The Head of Digital Transformation will take the lead in technical strategy and direction, in line with business ambitions.

The postholder will have the tactical and strategic acumen to deliver technology services that will support CDE in its ambitious goals for growth.


The Head of Digital Transformation will manage the company's technology operations and the implementation of new IT systems and policies, whilst taking account of the wider technology estate.


About The Role

  • Lead all activities within the Technology & Analytics function (Technical Operations, Analytics, and Support)
  • Develop and drive the company's overall digital transformation strategy and roadmap
  • Ensure the technical landscape is scalable and in line with CDE ambitions
  • Lead the development of new fitforpurpose digital solutions to improve operational efficiency and customer experience
  • Champion digital transformation tools and conduct training to relevant departments within the organisation
  • Develop mandatory build to be secure processes
  • Be an advocate for a security focussed approach
  • Review existing internal business processes and identify areas of improvement
  • Provide technical design oversight on development projects to ensure adherence to legal and corporate standards and development best practices
  • Bridge the gap between technology and strategic business objectives, and know the value of information rather than data
  • Work with key business stakeholders to demonstrate the art of the possible
  • Effectively manage the delivery workload pipeline
  • Control technology project schedules to ensure that technical improvement plans are completed on time and onbudget, according to the project plan.
  • Provide guidance and expertise on technology as a key enabler for change
  • Be an advocate of technology bestpractice and improvement initiatives
  • Ensure systems and solutions have appropriate data governance and that data is well architected and secured
  • Establish, maintain, and lead a consistent approach to the measurement, monitoring, and improvement of data related capabilities
  • Ensure that we have a culture of Clean Data and that all stakeholders understand the reason for its importance
  • Keep up to date with digital trends and best practices
  • To adhere to the Company's Policies and Procedures
  • To carry out any other duties within reason and capability associated with this role
  • Reporting to CFO and working closely with Director of Transformation on improvement programmes

Required Criteria

  • Degree in a technology or businessrelated field, or equivalent
  • Demonstrable experience leading digital transformation projects within a complex environment
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in similar role
  • Demonstrable experience leading teams

Desired Criteria

  • Exposure to cloud engineering
  • Experience in implementing/supporting ERP systems
  • Demonstrable experience working to ISO27001 standards
  • ITIL exposure and ISO20000 standards
  • Experience in managing local networks in Windows environments
  • Experience in server and web server administration (Linux, Windows, Apache, etc.) and hosted environments
